‘Yaad Dil Dukay, Tum Yaad Aai’- means your memory hearting my soul. This line I am hearing in my headphone from Atif’s album “Doori”. A pathetic snap shot of the Rawalpindi Suicide bombing is in front of me. Benazir is no more. A leader of south Asia is murdered. She waves her hand and say good bye to the world. A young girl born in a leader’s family and she lost her all nearest and dearest one like father and brother in front of the evil’s bullets. She made the people her relatives and work for them. Father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was lost his live due to a regime. Brother also lost his live mysteriously in 1985. The whole dynasty is finished with the death of Benazir Bhutto, the former Prime Mister of Pakistan. It is all most similar to another Indian dynasty – the Indira Gandhi Dynasty. Mrs. Gandhi was also in an Election rally in Orissa in 1984. Benazir came to Pakistan again with the hope that she will reestablish the democracy in Pakistan. The first attack on the Benazir was failed. Her life was saved. But the second time the suicide attack was not failed. They fire on the car of Benazir and made coward bombing in the gathering. Several people lost their live in the bombing. She was taken to the hospital and the doctor said that she was not alive. Indian stand time 5:45 PM, 27th December 2007 Benazir Bhutto took her last breath and leave her earthly body. May Allah give her Jannath (the supreme position in haven)! She was 54. In 1988 she was elected as a Prime Minister of Pakistan. President Pervez Musharraf declares three days national condolence for late Benazir Bhutto. He declares a war against the evil power of terrorism. The world’s leaders deeply condemned the assassination.

The Concept of Freedom

By: live7n  :  Filed Under Society & Civilizations, Politics, Spirituality

We may take the term ‘freedom’ in two senses. One, in its transcendental or metaphysical sense (paramarthika artha) and the other in its empirical sense (vyavaharika artha). In its transcendental sense the term means generally the freedom of the human soul. Although in Buddhsim it is not spoken of as the liberation of the human soul, yet its meaning is transcendental.

In the empirical sense of the term it means generally economic, social, political, religious etc. freedom. It is something like the economic or ethical freedom as advocated by the Carvakas or socio-economic freedom as advocated by Marx.

There are many synonyms of the word ‘freedom’ like liberation, liberty, release, deliverance, salvation, redemption, moksa, mukti, nirvana, kaivalya etc. Although these words are generally used in the sense of freedom yet there are slight variation in there imports.

The English word liberation comes form the Latin word ‘liberalitateous’ or the French word ‘liberalis’ which again comes from Latin ‘liber’. This word has no religious or transcendental import. However ‘Liberal Society’ means a definite society ‘advocating church disestablishment’.

We generally used the term ‘liberation’ in the political sense, such as ‘the liberation of Europe by Allied troops’. It sometimes also means individual liberation such as ‘liberation of a woman from repulsive wedlock’ as in the case of a divorce.

The term ‘liberty’ means ‘freedom from the captivity, slavery, or oppressive control’. It also means ‘right or power to do as one choose’. It may means ‘right or privilege granted by authority’. We speak of natural liberty, civil liberty, liberty of press etc. Natural liberty means a ‘state in which there are no laws’; civil liberty of conscience means a state limited ‘by laws established on behalf of community’; liberty of conscience means a ‘system allowing all member of State to follow what from of religion seems good to them’; liberty of press means a ‘system by which anyone may print and publish what he pleases without previous permission’. In the philosophical sense it means ‘freedom from control of fate or necessity’. From this meaning we have a view viz. ‘libertarianism’ which is opposed to determinism and holds ‘that certain human actions are not governed by necessitating causal laws’.

All these meanings indicate the empirical import of the term ‘freedom’ as earlier stated. Salvation is a term which is keenly connected with the human soul and God. It generally means ‘Saving of the soul’. It also means ‘deliverance from sin and its consequences’: admission to heaven brought about by Christ’. Sometimes salvation means conversion also. We have a use of a term like ‘Salvation Army’ which means ‘an organisation on military model for revival of religion among the masses’. The members of this army wear military-style uniforms. Thus the meaning of salvation quite stand for the metaphysical import of freedom as earlier stated.

The word ‘redemption’ is mostly synonymous with salvation with salvation, because it also like salvation means ‘the deliverance from sin and damnation wrought by Christ’s atonement’.

The role of the Bureaucracy in India

By: live7n  :  Filed Under Politics

In the modern administrative system, the bureaucracy or the Civil Service plays a crucial role. It so to say constitutes the backbone of the administration. In Maxweber’s idea, bureaucracy in the hall mark of a “legal rational system” of administration.

Every administrative department, the power to government is placed under the charge of a minister responsible to the legislature.

In a domestic system of government, the power to govern is entrusted to the elected representative of the people. In Parliamentary democracies such as that of India, the council of ministers with the Prime Minister at the head ‘administers’ the country. The council of Minister’ for all its acts of commission and commission, remain responsible to the parliament. The minister thus constitute what is known as the political executive. The primary function of the Council of Ministers is to formulate the policies of the government.

By: live7n  :  Filed Under Society & Civilizations, Politics, World Organizations & Community

India US nuclear deal is not a burning question for the political parties of India. Many political parties are not happy with the kind of agreement between two countries. Especially the Left are is against the issue. India’s nuclear energy program is essential for the India’s energy security. Indo-US nuclear deal also created some division in same political parties. New Delhi and Washington want to sit in a table to discuss about the issue. But because of present political situation regarding India US nuclear deal issue the discussion un-completed. India – US 123 deal is understood by the some parties and others are not so sure about that. The USA cooperation in civil nuclear program is opposed by the political parties as because of country’s security. India’s permanent position in UN Security council is now a matter of time only. The growing demand of electricity allover the country made India to use the nuclear fuel. The coal reserve in the country may last only for another 40-50 years and the country is expected to face a severe shortfall in power by 2010. Nuclear Power Corporation and Department of Atomic Energy are working together to face the scarcity of energy in future.

Mr. Ahmadinejad, - Is he a Hitler of Iran?

By: live7n  :  Filed Under Politics, World Organizations & Community, Current Affairs

Iranian president Mr. Ahmadinejad is in a visit to the US. He was addressing a conference in Columbia University. Iran, an Islamic country in west Asia has a religious impact in it policy and it is very famous in the Arab world. With energy concern in mind, India and Iran maintain a friendly relation to explore all aspect of energy resources. Fossil energy sources are well reserved in Iran and they sell the energy source in the various part of the world Market. The advancement of science and technology in the 7th decade of nineteen century made Iran scientifically well developed country and a pioneer in the great Islamic Revolution. They want to use the power of nuclear energy for the development of industry and other non-military propose.  So the entire Iranian nuclear enrichment program is a peaceful one. But the Security Council is not ready to allow them to get this kind of advantage without testing. Initially, Iran negotiated supply of nuclear power plants from French and Germany.  Iran spent the fuel from the Bushehr Plant. The International Atomic Energy Agency is fully in operation in Iran as a signatory state of NPT. Iran produces a large quantity of Uranium and plutonium under the safeguard of the International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA). The countries using nuclear energy are two types first; nuclear power countries and 2nd Non-nuclear Weapon State (not allow other to use the breeder technology). The US is not happy with Iran after- Iraq and Afghanistan.

By: live7n  :  Filed Under Politics, Current Affairs

In 1999 world cup cricket, Rahul Gandhi was present just as a relaxed spectator in the cricket stadium to cheer for India. Seven years later son of Sonia Gandhi become a busy politician in the grand old party, Indian National Congress. Rahul Gandhi, generalSecretary of Youth Congress and Students’ leader

The party was in the fore-front of India’s national movement for freedom and born as back as 1885. Indeed it has been and is even today an umbrella party sheltering within its fold diverse interest groups. This party remained in power continuously for 20 years from 1947 to 1967 both at the center in the states except for brief interlude in Kerala after the second general election. The forth general election in 1967 saw the ouster of the party from power in many North Indian States by coalition governments. But the party remained in power at the center. Only in the election of 1977, was the party briefly pushed out of power by the newly formed Janata Party. But it came back to power in 1980. The party is firmly committed to parliamentary democracy. In the multi-religious, Indian society, Congress upholds “Secularism” as an important political value. To day the congress has assumed the name of Congress (I). Here ‘I’ means the congress led by Mrs Indira Gandhi. That Indicates that the former united India National Congress in now divided into many Congress- the principle One being the Congress(I).
